Always Be My Baby

When we were in Langkawi, Amir did something that really amused us.

One fine morning, he was sitting next to Abah on the sofa bed. Mama put a little square cushion beside him. Sort of to tahan him if he happened to fall. Suddenly he looked at Abah, who was bersila on the sofa bed, and smiled. Abah was watching TV at the moment, was surprised to see Amir's smile. It came all of sudden kan.

"Kenapa Mir? Nak duduk kat pangku Atuk ke?"

All of us were watching him, to see what he's up to. Then he held the little cushion and smiled again to Abah. Abah dah start concious tengok cucu dok senyum2. Hehehehe.

"Ye Mir? Nak apa?"

Later, Amir put the cushion on his lap. He smiled again to Abah. Wah, this little guy, nampak so cunning, I tell you! He paused. He watched the TV for a few secs. Tiba-tiba,

He put the cushion on Abah's knee, and leaning. As if he wanted to sleep on Abah's lap. My God, comelnya. All of us were like "Cutenya Amiir..."
And I "Camera! Camera! Cepat! Ji, amik gambar!"
But, heh, tak sempat pun, he got up and sat up straight like nothing happened. Hmm..

Amir later, with Abah on the sofa bed.

Amir in ERL, way back home from KLIA and the other one - Amir with the husband. Sorie-la. Mr Hazel is way too shy also. Hehehe.

Anyway, this is the 2nd day Amir cried whenever I tried to leave him. For the first two days (Mon & Tue) I thought that was nothing sbb Amir will behave like that whenever he stayed with us for more than 3days. On Wednesday, he was fine. He seemed tak sabar to be in makcik's arms. But yesterday and today, he cried. Lots of ppl said, kids dont lie. What makes him afraid?

Langkawi Trip : Part II

My Part II is finally here. Sorry folks. Workload doesnt permit me to write these days.

Well, we went to Underwater World on Saturday evening after checking out. Morning was spent wisely at Pekan Kuah. Hehehe. Borong chocolates, while Mama bought some kain batik for her and her friends. Then sempat ke Dataran Lang to take some pictures.

Back to Underwater World, way to go there was a bit jammed since there was a Pesta Air (if I wasnt mistaken) along Pantai Cenang. All of us went in to see the collection of fresh and salt water fish. Me myself imagined the Underwater World would be a gigantic aquarium above us. But it was wrong. Hehehehe. Most of them are in form of large aquariums located side by side.

Marine lives that attract us so much were the Rock hopping penguins. Cute sangat! They were jumping, walking, and even swimming in front of us. With their thick eyelashes (can I call it that?) wah, mmg comel!

Then we managed to see a sea turtle, stingrays, sharks in the largest tank in there.

There was an anaconda (located among in the first aquariums), two memerangs (near Koi Pond), Nemo, Dory and such. Cameras are allowed, but there are some restrictions at certain tanks, ie. no camera flash. We were amazed with two big arapaima gaigas too. All of us agreed that the tank was way too small for them. They are so long, nak buat U-turn dalam aqua pun susah.

Amir was a bit scared whenever a school of fish gathered near him. Remember a scene in Finding Nemo after Nemo's father thought he was dead and was swimming away? A group of fish yang trapped in large net tu? Underwater World have them. Sebijik!

There's an ikan buntal also. Baby and Jiji susah payah tend to make the fish terkejut, as they wanted to see the fish bloats. Tapi tak dapat. In fact, ikan tu buat macam takde apa2 je. Sabar je laa.

We ended up the trip by having our photo taken to be placed on a plate. Angah yang beria nak sangat. It costs RM15.

Okay, the entrance fee is RM23 for adults. But not for long I suppose, coz there was a notice saying it was for a certain period of time only.

Anyway, car/van rental is much cheaper compared to 2 years ago. We managed to rent a Suzuki ERV, at RM150 for 2 days - which looks like Juara. Hehehehe. But we rented it because Baby insisted since ada sun roof. Muat laa all 7 of us. We stayed at Perdana Beach Resort, which is located between Langkasuka Resort and Langkawi Lagoon. The place is quit quiet. Suitable for those who wanted some room of privacy.

Okay, habis dah.. Photos will be uploaded later =)

Langkawi Trip Part I

I'm back!! Wah, cuti-cuti Malaysia was so tiring. We departed at almost 5pm, almost 40mins late from actual time - 4.10pm. Was kinda nervous tho. Managed to follow some tips given, ie. dont feed Amir with milk before boarding, gave him something to suck and such. Nevertheless, we forgot to bring something to amuse him like Sis Lilian suggested. Instead, the husband dok main bukak tutup tingkap to distract Amir's attention. When the flight started to take off, I can see Amir's face, kelakar =) Pandang kiri kanan, searching for the source of loud noises. But he was OK thru out the journey. Alhamdulillah.

On Friday morning, we tend to visit Telaga Tujuh. But after some interview done by my sister, we cancelled it. We hafta walk about 20mins, mendaki! Tak larat makcik! So, we proceed to Langkawi Cable Car. One cable car can sumbat 6 adults. My mom refused to join. "Mama gayat la. Biar mama jaga Amir.." But then, since the cable car ride is lasted for at least 40minutes, so the husband decided to bring Amir too. We were damn excited. My bro asyik amik gambar je. But as the cable car approaching to the top of Gunung Mat Chinchang, everybody was kept silent but Amir. I grabbed the husband's paha. Takut =P

"Eeee.. boleh naik ke ni?"
"Waaaaa.. takutnya tengok bawah.. Nasib baik lantai dia tak see thru.."
"Kalau laa putus tali kabel ni.."

My, lots of things wandering in our mind. Hehehe.

"Cukup laa sekali ni. Lepas ni tak nak naik lagi.." Baby said.

At last, we arrived to the top after almost 20mins jantung dup dap dup dap dengan lajunya. We are officially 709m from sea level. Yay! Abah, Ti, Jiji & Baby managed to climb up more stairs to get a better view. The husband and I just sat and walk around the station with Amir.

Then its time to go down! Another almost 20mins to bare the fear of falling. Alhamdullillah, 10mins before 11am, we managed to step our feet on the ground - safe & sound.

For those who want to feel the experience, the round-trip fare for adults is RM 15. Operating hours start at 9.30 am, but note that operation may be curtailed in extreme weather.

p/s: Pictures taken from cuti.com.my. Ours still in JB. Hehehehe.

Next post: Our trip to Underwater World =)

Naughty Boy

Amir is getting naughtier by day. Last time, we just need to scold him once, and he will cry. Now, membebel till 10 mins + slapping his betis, means nothing. He will stop for a while to look at you and smile then continue to what he've been doing. Sabar je la. That is much much better compare to when he fights back. You know, you slap his leg, and he will kick you back. Memang geram! Sometimes, it breaks my heart to scold him, but I think, we have to. Else he'll become so uncontrollable.

Nowdays, by developing his new skill of "mengemas", I think I have to give my parents a 2-3days notice, NOT to put their barang perhiasan on the floor anymore. You see, my mom lovessss glass flowers in glass jar. She has plenty of them which being arranged nicely under her meja konsol. That, I mean, have to be removed while we are in JB nanti.

"You really have to do that ma, else habis pecah nanti.."
And she just laughed. Well, she didnt care much, I guess. There were a few of her vase got broken by our cats before. Some of them were crystals vase. Hmm..

By the way, I'm looking forward for this coming Thursday. Amir will be having his first ride by aeroplane to Langkawi. We will be going with my parents, Angah, Jiji and Baby till Saturday. Hope everything will run smoothly. Kind of berdebar though, mana tau, kalau-kalau Amir nangis tak berhenti thru one hour flight. *Shrug*

First Tooth

Last Friday, both of us took an EL. Amir caught a fever and some coughs. At first, I thought it was because he missed his abah so much, when later we figured out that he just cut his first tooth at his lower gum. Tak la nampak sangat. We can only see tiny winy white thing.

When he fell sick, Amir will turn to be one of bising babies that we have in the world. Whenever he coughs, he will go "Aaaaa.." Merengek la tu. When we rub his chest and back, he will go so quiet. Bertuah kan?

On Saturday, we brought him back to PD to visit the in-laws. My MIL is getting far lot better. She was advised not to do chores up till certain period. My FIL was so excited to meet his grandson. Though Amir is not the one and only grandson, but since Amir knows how to manja with FIL, so I guess he already become another cucu kesayangan =) Every morning and evening that we spent there, FIL will bring Amir to go round kampung with his Honda EX5. Amir will be sitted in basket and both his little hands resting near FIL's. Kalau saja2 duduk atas motor and not moving, Amir will refused to get back to us.

Moral? Bawak jalan dulu, then we can do the rest later.

Kids nowdays, huh?

Chaos Morning Pt II

Yeah, as expected, I had another unorganized chaos morning again. Amir still wants to go towards the front door. Every time he did that, I slap his leg, dukung him and put him in front of TV. 3 times, when finally he cried. Alaa.. kesiannya anak ibu. Not so long, but still, I felt bad.

So, after making sure that he wouldnt move anywhere, I took my mandi-kerbau-style again. As I stepped out from the bathroom, I saw him lying on his stomach, hugging his bantal peluk and closed his face with it. The bantal peluk was located a few metres from where he was sitted before. You know, bila kena marah, he will sort of mengadu to his bantal peluk. Isk. That moment really broke my heart.

So, I went to him, hugged him. "Ibu sayang Amir tau. Ibu bukan marah.." Gomol2 dia sket then he started to smile back. Ah, that smile! Priceless!

I can hardly wait for the husband to come home. Kinda missed him tho. Yesterday, when he called from Sabah, I put the hset near Amir's ear. And he smiled so wide listening the husband calling his name =))

Chaos Morning

The husband was away this morning to Sabah. He left around 6.10am to catch the 6.40am ERL to KLIA.

Well, morning alone with Amir was a bit chaos. Hehehe. He woke up at 7.40am. His eyes were terkebil-kebil asking for his morning feed. Then, I let him played around (read: i was waiting for him to finish stooling). After I changed him, I put him in front of TV.
"Amir duduk baik2 ok? Ibu nak mandi. Stay put!"

Heh, knowing that he wouldnt understand any of my saying, so I took a mandi-kerbau-style bath. Less than 5 minutes! And, as I opened the bathroom door, there the boy was - almost reaching the front door, near the shoe rack. Arggh!

"AMIR!! Tengok tu, baju abis kotor. Pegi main dekat situ kenapaaaaaa.. Kan ibu dah kasik mainan tadi.." There were grey spots at his clothes (stomach area) and on knees. So, I had to change him again. My mouth was so damn busy pot pet pot pet to him. But he was so quiet.

"OK la.. ibu tak marah. tp tengok ni? nanti lambat pergi umah tok.." Thank God he was smiling later on.

My, I have another morning to face without the husband around. May tomorrow be better than today.

A Birthday Party

We went to Afrina's (the girl who sat beside Amir in previous picture) birthday party yesterday. The party started at 5pm but we only managed to get there around 6.15pm :P Hujan, traffic jam and such (alasan!) As we arrived, Atie, Afrina's mother, took Amir inside and put him at the centre of a group of kids. I can see Amir was looking around, searching for familiar faces. The husband was outside, chatting with Atie's husband.

As soon as the husband sat in front of Amir, he cried. So LOUD! At first few seconds, I didnt realise it was him. The rest of the kids were looking at him. Pelik kot. Tetiba je nangis. I guess, he was "God, finally! Someone that I know is here!". So, I walked towards him, dukung and tried to calm him down. Heh, he got silent as I brought him up! Clever ya? As I put him down, he cried again. This time, the husband took turn. He was OK by then but still no smile.

Atie told me, Amir is the youngest among those kids, BUT he's the biggest in term of weight among all. Plus, dia jugak la yang nangis paling kuat. Hehehe. So, there he was, in the husband's lap. When he started painting a smile on his face, thats the sign that he is ready to be in other ppls arms or lap.

Oh, my dear little boy.

p/s: some of my friends told me, the elder will become extra manja when we are expecting his/her sibling. is it true?

A Long Visit

I was on emergency leave yesterday. This time, for attending my MIL who went under surgery at 8am at Hospital Seremban. Just happen to know on Wednesday night thru my SIL. She was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday, and I knew abt it a day after, or 36hrs after? Reason being, because she doesnt want to let other ppl know. Not her sons & daughters. Not even neighbours. Her mom knew almost just in time like I did.

"Actually, Ika baru je nak call akak. But since you did first, well.. "

We left Amir to the makcik because we plan to be there for the whole day. MIL came out from operation room few minutes past 12. She was semi concious after recovery. FIL, Mak Teh, Pak Teh, BIL and us were there, waiting.

After the nurses sent her to the ward, then only we managed to be with her, privately. I took the chance to sit beside her, and I kept holding her hand.

"Amir mana?"
"Amir tinggal. Tak dapat la nak bawak mak. Kadang-kadang wad tak kasik baby masuk."

Silent. This time, somehow, I managed to ask a question, a stupid question I must say. Just because I felt sad since she used to tell me a lot, almost everything. She told us abt this op earlier which she wanted to postponed it. But now? She didnt tell us abt changing her mind, at all.

"Kenapa mak tak bagitau?"
With her serak2 voice, she tried to answer. "Mak tak dapat.."
Then her eyes bergenang.
Damn. why should I ask such a question at this time? Couldnt I think something more appropriate?

Then she held my hand so tight. I replied back. She seemed so weak, so I let her rest and sleep. We attended her till 2.15pm when the husband and I kena halau by the guard. We had our lunch then perform our prayer at Masjid Negeri. Went to the hospital again to wait for another visiting hours at 4.30pm.

This time, lots of ppl came, mainly from kampung. Somehow they found out from the kampung's Imam who coincidently got warded and terserempak with my MIL when she came out from the operation room. From not telling anyone, now everyone knows. Kerja Tuhan kan..

My SIL also came after school. We had a long conversation. How she wanted to tell me earlier but MIL didnt permit. How she cried a lot these days. Being the only daughter, she must be so close with MIL.

We left after Maghrib, right after the visiting hours ended. Got to fetch Amir then. Thank God makcik sudi took care of him for extended hours. Thanks makcik!
